Description
The project involved the design and testing of the interface for "SpeedyOrder", a secure automated food ordering system. The components involved of a kiosk located at a local Food Court that would allow customers to search for menus based on price or cuisine, browse specials and order food. Upon payment via credit-card / special cards, the order had to be transmitted to the respective shop(s). Shops needed to be able to update item availability in real-time. An administrator interface to maintain the central database was the final piece. The system was meant to expedite the overall ordering process by shortening queues and reducing "window-shopping".
